A family is heartbroken and desperate to find their beloved dog when, following a routine grooming appointment, the facility released the pup to someone that wasn’t the owner.
Veronica Grines took her 2-year old Yorkie, Bailey, to the Ace of Hearts Kennel in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a routine grooming appointment on Friday. It was a business the family had used many times before and had no worries for her safety.
Hours later, Grines contacted Ace of Hearts to see if Bailey was ready to be picked up. That’s when she learned someone, unknown to the family, had already been to the facility and picked up the dog.
“Somebody did come in, they said they asked for my dog by name, Bailey, and that they charged them out and they left with the dog,” Grines told KOB4. “It’s been really rough these past couple days.”
The family are, naturally, devastated and simply want their dog back. Meanwhile, Ace of Hearts offered to replace Bailey with another dog from their kennels. But, to Grines, trading for a new dog isn’t an option.
“Please, no questions asked. Just return the dog,” she said. “We just want our family dog back.”
The family is pleading for whomever took Bailey to return her to Ace of Hearts, no questions asked.
