Since rapper 50 Cent accused media superstar, Oprah Winfree of “catering to old white women” in 2006, their relationship has been less than pleasant. So, when Oprah heard the rapper had a Schnauzer named Oprah, she wanted to know why.
In this clip from Oprah’s Next Chapter, airing this Sunday at 9pm on the OWN Network, Oprah sits down with 50 Cent to discuss their rocky past – specifically, why the hip-hop star named his dog after her.
It’s clear that the pair have sorted out their differences. Oprah even considers being the dog’s namesake a compliment, despite Oprah the Dog’s sometimes mean tweets toward the real Oprah Winfree from her very own Twitter account.
50 Cent also admitted to having a cat named Gayle.
