Today is probably the biggest day on the Dog Calendar. Not because they pick the best in show at the Westminster today. Nope that’s not it.
It’s because today’s Valentine’s Day.
Right now, people are arranging for flowers for their wife or girlfriend. They’re sending chocolates or nighties or teddies. But most people forget about us.
Because we provide unconditional love all year around, many people naturally forget about us on Valentine’s Day. Maybe they’ll toss us an extra dog treat or take us for an extra long walk.
But personally, if I was your dog – this is what I’d want.
Stop everything in your life. Turn off your smart phone. And get down on the floor with me.
Just spend some time loving me. Play my favorite game with me.
And in return, I’ll give you unconditional love for another year.
Heck, I’ll give you that anyway.
But this is all a plot to get you to scratch me behind the ears.
