A recall has been issued after flea and tick treatments for dogs – containing permethrin – were distributed in packaging labelled as flea drops for cats. Even slight exposure to permethrin can be fatal to cats.

After a packaging mix-up, an unknown quantity of the Armitage Pet Care Flea and Tick Drops for Dogs containing permethrin has been distributed in packaging labelled Armitage Flea Drops for Cats and Kittens.
Exposure to even small quantities of concentrated permethrin can cause severe and fatal poisoning in cats.
Armitage is the largest independent supplier and distributor of branded pet accessories and treats in the UK.
If you have one of the products involved in the recall, do not use it on your pet. Instead, return the product to the place of purchase or contact the company, Bio-Tech solutions, at Tel 08704 450154 or email [email protected].

says:One of my three dogs died after I applied k9 Advantix ii. An extra larger one for an over 75lbs White German Shepherd, 1/3 of a medium dog one for a 7lbs half chihuahua and half poodle, 2/3 for a 13 lbs Half chuhuahua and poodle.
The White German Shepherd licked a bit on the smallest one.
He acted itchy all night, but eatomg drinking ,playing… but in the morning he started vomiting three time,limping, panting and died at noon.
The vet said that he overdosed the med.
