Crime Stoppers of Houston has offered a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Alfred Ramirez, a known dog fighter.
In October 2008, police went undercover to infiltrate and attend a dog fighting operation in Harris County, Texas. Once inside, the found Ramirez, 40, forcing a dog to fight for money.
Ramirez is a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall.

says:To the person who thinks that dogs and/or roosters fighting is “natural” and nothing is being forced. Just consider the animals choices — they are thrown into a confined pit/area and they can either die a gruesome death or they can fight and try to make it out alive. So…..yea….I’d say that is pretty much “forcing” an animal to fight.
And lets not forget about the bait dogs who get shredded and mutilated just so the other dogs can have their confidence built up and be in an excited state before the fight.

says:How do you force a dog to fight? How naïve can one be in our day and time. For those that don’t know how these dogs are trained to fight and the abuse they suffer, get yourself educated before making any further comments. This monsters picture should be put up on every social media network. And when he is found the courts should make an example out of him that the people have spoken and we will not tolerate dog fighting, bird fighting, or any other type of animal abuse for the crazies to enjoy watching.
For the comment about the children, our hearts and prayers go out to them. The one thing that is different here is that there are organizations and hospitals that see to the needs of the children and the families, do your research. On the other hand, there is only a few organizations with the funds and resources to help the animals.

If it was as easy as “forcing” than any breed could perform or be forced. It’s a specific strain with certain instincts that can not be suppressed. also i’d like to add that gamefowl are not fought with “blades”, in the US they are fought mostly with gaffs.(they are fought in mexico and Philippines with knifes but gaffs in the US) a gaff looks like a metal spur. it is nearly identical to a natural spur but is smaller in diameter as to not make a big bloody hole. natural spurs are wider at the base and make for a gruesome, bloody, fight. gaffs are made to make the fights quicker and more humane, because cockfighting is a means to allow farmers to pick better brood stock as to improve the breed and save it from extinction. gameness is a means to keep all chickens alive, nearly all wild forms of chickens were originally game, but through mans efforts to breed chickens to lay more, produce more meat etc. they have perverted the fowl, domestic fowl are more prone to disease, infertility, parasites, etc. and most wild fowl like red jungle fowl, sumatra, saipan jungle fowl, etc. are extinct from there natural environment and have lost there gameness in captivity due to bad breeding practices. game fowl are the last remaining truly wild fowl. because of there gameness they still carry high fertility, disease resistance, and parasite resistance (some asil are completely immune to mites). game fowl in a sense are on the same level as the honey bee because of there ability save chickens as whole. if you are against gamefowl you are against a culture, you are against the income it brings to local business, you are against the humane treatment of the fowl, you are against the benefits it brings to all fowl and you are for putting an animals life above a persons.

Why didn’t they arrest him When they found him forcing a dog to fight?????
The reason they did not arrest him at that moment is that they have to build a case which will stand up in court. Just to go in there with an officer seeing just one incident is not going to stand up and will just turn into a she said/he said.
Remember our government’s criminal justice system is based on innocent until proven guilty.
