If you’re anything like me, your obsession for your dogs runs deep. As a parent to two Golden Retrievers, I’ve amassed a collection of breed-specific knick-knacks ranging from pens to socks, and wall plaques to coffee mugs, all adorned with that familiar Golden fur. So, when the great folks at Steadfast Friends created a new line of breed-specific chalkboards, I jumped on the opportunity to add to my collection!

Create an artistic masterpiece, or simply keep a running grocery list on your ChalkboardDogs! repositionable chalkboard!

ChalkboardDogs! are chalkboards in the shape of your favorite dog breed. They can be mounted on just about any surface and are used just like any chalkboard, to take notes, doodle or draw, even write out your honey-do list. And, like any regular chalkboard, you can write on them with normal chalk or with Chalk Ink, then wipe clean and reuse time and time again.

After perusing their selection of adorable breeds ranging from Airedale to the Yorkie and everything in between, I settled on the Golden Retriever ChalkboardDogs! (of course).

When my ChalkboardDogs! arrived, I was shocked at the size of the box. I had been expecting a small, flat box, about the size of a magazine. Instead, a long tube arrive. Quizzically, I opened the tube to find, instead of the small flat chalkboard that I was expecting, a life-sized Golden Retriever silhouette decal! This was WAY cooler than I was expecting! (With a chalkboard of this size, I can write-out quite the honey-do list!)

While ChalkboardDogs! looks like a giant sticker, it’s totally repositionable, but sticky enough that it’ll stay put where you want it to. I tried it on the door, the front of the fridge, and the livingroom wall before deciding to put it on the wall over my dog’s food bowls. I drew their names in block letters, while my daughter added her own doodles and designs with the Chalk Ink. It’s the perfect way to personalize their own little space in the house. ChalkboardDogs! would look amazing over your dog’s bed, too.

Chalk Ink, also available from Steadfast Friends, is a pack of 4 florescent markers (pink, blue, yellow, and green) that look like chalk when used on the chalkboard and are washable like chalk but without the dusty mess – plus, the colors are super bright and vibrant!

These are fantastic! I would have to get one of the side profile Chihuahuas to go in my kitchen. It would go great with all the Chihuahua magnets I have on my fridge. 🙂

I would love a Flat-Coated Retriever chalkboard. I would hang it in out dining nook where everyone can see it. I’d like to use it for a grocery list (add things we need as we run out) or maybe as a what’s-happening-this week list. It is a useful and elegant way to decorate with my favorite breed!

LOVE this! I agree, everything in my house is dog related (to the point where people make fun of me) – even my Fridge is covered with dog magnets. I have 5: Corgidor, Golden Shepherd, Golden Retriever(LOVE the one shown), Shih Tzu and Schnoodle. Most everything is GR so I’d probably go for the Shih Tzu board!

These are so cool! I would love a dachshund one…I could leave “LONG” messages on it and my artistic son would love to decorate one. We lost our beloved Dudley Doright the Doxie (age 16 1/2) and this would be a sweet way to remember him. We also have a soft coated Wheaton Terrier named “Bailey” and a border collie/beagle mix named “Rory Rocket”
