As if being the world’s only Oscar-winning canine isn’t enough, Uggie has his eyes set on best seller  now. Arguably the most popular Jack Russell Terrier in the world, Uggie has written his memoirs!

Now that he’s retired from the silver screen, the four-legged star of The Artist and Water for Elephants has entered the writing world, publishing his very own memoirs on October 16th.

Very tongue-in-cheek and cleverly written, the book details his life in show business, his late-night champagne parties with co-stars, and his “celebrity crush” Reese Witherspoon. But, the main purpose of his book, titled Uggie: My Story, is to stress the importance of adoption.

“I may be the first dog to win an Oscar and write a best-seller but my most important work is with animal rescue,” he writes. “Please adopt – and if you must buy, buy my book!”

Check out the adorable video promotion for his new book below.
