Access to a large, securely fenced yard is ideal for American Staffordshire Terriers. They are better suited for indoor living, though they can still thrive in sleeping outdoors. The breed can do fairly well in apartment-living as long as they get to receive sufficient exercise. Staffies are generally lazy indoors, and they usually prefer areas with warm climates. The breed needs a minimum of an hour of daily exercise. Taking them for a long walk, or letting them roam freely in a safe area are great for them.
