When Republican Senate candidate Martha McSally of Arizona officially accepted defeat in her bid for office, it was her dog, Boomer, that stole the show during her concession speech.
In her concession speech, a personally recorded video posted to Twitter, McSally’s dog, a Golden retriever named Boomer, proves that dogs don’t care whether you win or lose, as long as you keep the belly rubs coming!
Congrats to @kyrstensinema. I wish her success. I’m grateful to all those who supported me in this journey. I’m inspired by Arizonans’ spirit and our state’s best days are ahead of us. pic.twitter.com/tw0uKgi3oO

Boomer is a rescue dog, but McSally says, “in many ways we rescued each other. I was grieving the loss of my former golden, Penelope, when Boomer came into my life.” She has brought the lovably attentive dog to campaign rallies and even let him compete for “Cutest Dog on Capitol Hill” in 2017.
