A young puppy was found abandoned in an Ohio park with the words “FREE” and “GOOD HOME ONLY” written all over her body and face in permanent marker.
Rescuers with the Ross County Humane Society in Chillicothe, Ohio are caring for a young, 5 to 6-month old Lab-mix puppy after she was found abandoned inside a kennel and left alone at a city park.
The dog, now named Marvella, which means “miracle,” was found with words, including “FREE” and “GOOD HOME ONLY” scrawled across her body and face with permanent marker.
The shelter says they’ve been able to wash most of the marker off of Marvella and the otherwise healthy pup will be available for adoption on Wednesday.
Anyone with information about the dog’s previous family or who is responsible for abandoning her is urged to contact either the Ross County Humane Society of the Chillicothe Police Department.
