Buddy the Golden Retriever was found by Kevin di Cicco as a stray dog in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the summer of 1989. Kevin brought the dog home to San Diego where he trained him to play a whole slew of sports including basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and hockey.

His first appearance was on America’s Funniest Home Videos. He gained further fame dunking baskets on David Letterman’s Stupid Pet Tricks segment of the Late Show with David Letterman.

Fun Fact: You might also recognize Buddy as Comet, the family dog in six seasons of ABC’s Full House!
